We
define two broad functional areas within PMCH: (1) professional training and
provision of professional preventive services and (2) clinical and population
health science research, graduate education, and collaborations.
Professional Training and Provision of Professional Preventive
Services
Our Preventive Medicine
Residency Program trains residents in Aerospace Medicine and General Preventive
Medicine. Our Public Health Program offers a professional epidemiology-focused
MPH to medical students, doctoral students, residents, fellows, and faculty at
the university. We provide elective courses in preventive medicine and public
health to medical and graduate students. As an integral part of our
professional training programs, faculty and trainees provide clinical and
community based preventive services.

Research, Graduate Education, and Collaborations
PMCH faculty members
are active investigators and collaborators on projects across the research
continuum—from basic science to clinical science to health services research to
population health sciences. We partner with colleagues across campus, providing
behavioral, epidemiological, and biostatistical expertise and leadership. We
administer graduate degree programs in Population Health Sciences and Clinical
Science to train the next generation of scientists and scholars.
