Academic Activities:
Christine M. Arcari is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Community Health at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. Dr. Arcari received her MPH from the University of South Florida, College of Public Health and her Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Arcari’s interest is in the prevention and control of infectious and chronic diseases. She is Principal Investigator of Transforming Texas, an initiative supporting communities, workplaces, schools and health care providers to reduce chronic diseases, lower the cost of health care, and promote a lifetime of health for every Texan through prevention. Dr. Arcari is the Graduate Program Director for the Public Health Program in Population Health Sciences and teaches a range of courses including PHS 6330 Introduction to Epidemiology and Clinical Research: Tools and Techniques Epidemiological and Statistical Methods in Clinical Investigation.
