Phani Veeranki is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Community Health at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. Dr.Veeranki received his medical degree from the N.T.R University of Health Sciences, his MPH from the University of Illinois at Springfield and his DrPH from the East Tennessee State University College of Public Health. Dr. Veeranki’s interest is in understanding “The early origins of disease” with focus on the prevention and control of chronic diseases. His research interests primarily include child and adolescent health, pediatric epidemiology, health outcomes research, pharmacoepidemiology, tobacco use behaviors, and global health.
