Training Session for Health Services Researchers: Clinformatics Data Mart database

The Office of Biostatisticswillsponsor a 2.5-hour trainingsession on the introduction to theClinformatics Data Mart (CDM) database on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 1:00PM to 3:30 pmin Levin Hall, Room 3.324.The CDM database,managed by Optum Life Sciences,has been an important datasource for health services researchers at UTMBover the last decade, andhas servedas the basis fornumerous high impact journal publications and federally funded grants.The CDM databaseincludesdemographic, diagnostic, health services, and laboratory and pharmacyinformation on over 50 million commercially insuredpersons throughout theUS.The most up-to-date version data includes additional information, such as resident zip code and some provider information.

The training session, whichwill be led by Data and Analytics Specialists fromOptum Life Sciences, will include overviews of data structure, data content, and analytic issues. Please email Jennifer Ugochukwu (jnugochu@utmb.edu) by noon on Tuesday, September 19th if you plan to attend.
